Add this to cave adventure to your Victoria Bucket Add this to cave adventure to your Victoria Bucket List ✨

It’s no wonder the Buchan Caves are one of Australia’s most spectacular cave systems, rich in colour and decorated with still pools and a mesmerising latticework of limestone towers🤩

Things you need to know:

🎟️Tours run daily but best to book ahead to avoid disappointment
👑You can tour either Fairy Cave or Royal Cave (Royal Cave is pictured here)
⛺️You can actually camp at Buchan Caves Reserve
🥾Explore the trails above ground - Moon Hill Walk is a great one to find a cave and lookout

👉🏼It’s 17 degrees celsius in the caves year round and humidity of 90% so you won’t need a jumper but closed toed shoes are highly recommended

📍Buchan Caves Reserve (4 hours’ drive east of Melbourne)

Comment “Buchan” and I’ll send you the info you’ll need to plan your trip and an itinerary

8 places that I still can’t believe exist in Tas 8 places that I still can’t believe exist in Tasmania - the landscapes out here are insane! ✨

📍Freycinet National Park (2.5 hours from Hobart CBD)
My favourites were the Mt Amos hike (we did a sunrise hike) and Honeymoon Bay for sunset! 🥾

📍Maria Island (1 hour from Hobart CBD)
The best place in the state to see free roaming wombats! A walk to the Painted Cliffs at low tide is also a must! ⛴️

📍Eddystone Point Lighthouse (2.5 hours from Launceston CBD)
The best spot to see the red lichen covered rocks that make the Bay of Fires so special + there’s a lighthouse here too!🔥

📍Bruny Island (30 minutes from Hobart CBD)
We did this as a day trip, took the ferry over, saw white wallabies, went to the iconic Bruny Baker’s Bread Fridge and did the Bruny Island cruise! 🌊

📍Little Blue Lake (2 hours from Launceston CBD)
Originally a mine hole, the lake reflects a vivid aqua blue from the minerals in its base and there’s lots of vantage points to view it! 💙

📍Mt Paris Dam (1.5 hours from Launceston CBD)
The structure was created by hand for the local mining industry, and in 1985, a hole was blasted in the wall to allow the flow of the Cascade River - now it’s such a magical scene! ✨

📍Trowutta Arch (3 hours from Launceston CBD)
A short 1km return trail takes you through a beautiful rainforest-like setting to a magical arch way and still algae-covered cenote! 🌿

📍Cradle Mountain National Park (2.5 hours from Launceston CBD)
Check out Ronny Creek to see wombats, do the Dove Lake Circuit or head up to Hansons Peak or Marions Lookout! 👀

How many of these have you been to or still need to get visit? ☺️

Mt Buffalo National Park just partially reopened t Mt Buffalo National Park just partially reopened to the public YAY! COMMENT “open” & I’ll send you exactly which trails you can do now! ⛰️🙌🏻

Rollasons Falls is located in Mt Buffalo National Park off Mt Buffalo Road and can be accessed via a 4km (1.5 hours) return walk (downhill to the falls, uphill on return) 🌿

The water is so inviting but if you go for a dip I can confirm you won’t be able to feel your body after 30 seconds 😅

In the middle of the day you’ll have full sun on the pool but you might also have to share the place with a few other people so you choose what’s best for you - I went in the morning and we had the place all to ourselves! 🙌🏻

What do you think, would you brave the cold for a cheeky swim? ☺️

Add this magical walk to your Victoria Bucket List Add this magical walk to your Victoria Bucket List ✨

It’s no wonder the Den of Nargun Walk is one of the most peaceful and magical walks to do in the state, it’s a sacred Aboriginal place… the spiritual connection to this ancient land is undeniable 😍

Highlights of the walk:

🌿Rainforest Gully & moss covered trees
💦Small waterfall and waterhole
🏞️Side trails to access the river
✨Deadcock Den (my favourite spot so don’t miss the detour)
👀The Bluff Lookout for valley & river views

👉🏼While it is labelled as a walk I would recommend wearing appropriate hiking attire as the trail is quite uneven in certain parts with changes in elevation throughout the walk

📍Den of Nargun Loop Walk, Mitchell River National Park (3.5 hours’ drive east of Melbourne)
