This is probably my favourite place in a Victoria! This is probably my favourite place in a Victoria! ✨ …And probably why I share it so much on here… I have visited Rubicon Valley Historic Area 9 times now! 🤭 You’ll expect to find trestle bridges, old tramlines, sawmills and aqueducts amongst a beautiful and secluded bushland setting 🌿 You can access the the popular siphon bridge via the 3km circuit walk from the car park but to get to Rubicon Dam wall which overflows into the river (pictured here), it’s approximately another 7km return walk from the Royston Power Station (follow the aqueduct from the big building at the bottom of the hill) OR the loop circuit via the signs for a longer walk! 🥾 Things to note: 🗺️ Just under 2.5 hours from Melbourne CBD 🚗 Park at the junction of Rubicon River Rd & Royston Rd 📵 No phone coverage, so arrive early, pack snacks, water, and wear comfy shoes! 🐾 Dogs are welcome, just keep them leashed and clean up after them! 🗺️Check @alltrails and download the map before you go! 👉🏼If you want access to an interactive map and detailed guide with 380+ of my favourite places in Victoria just like this, COMMENT “map” and I’ll send you the purchase link 🗺️ . . . #hiddengemsaustralia #seeaustralia #visitvictoria #seehighcountry #discoverdindi #regionalvictoria #wandervictoria #visitmelbourne

My favourite morning in Bali & the best sunrise I’ve ever seen! 😍🌋 If you were following along a few months ago, I did the Mt Batur volcano hike on my Bali group trip but unfortunately we made it to the top to a complete white out and no view… I was devastated for the group (scroll to the last slide for context)! 🫣 This time I was waking up an extra hour earlier and starting the hike at 3am, meaning we were again up the top waiting patiently to see what kind of show we were getting this time … and wow did it shine! 🤩 This is your daily reminder to try again.. “if first you don’t succeed, try again!” But also do the hike instead of the jeep tour! I was rewarded by the most incredible sunrise at the top of Mt Batur with a cloud inversion, insane colours and monkeys … oh and of course was up here with 3 of my high school friends! 🙌🏻 👉🏼We had a celebratory breakfast snack at @pahdispecialtycoffee with pastries, coffee and classic avocado toast but I think the highlight had to be the views of Mt Batur!
