Who knew you could find this 2 hours from Melbourn Who knew you could find this 2 hours from Melbourne!? 🌋

Mount Elephant is a steep sides scoria cone formed by a dormant volcano 20,000 years ago and rises 380 metres above sea level! 😮

You can hike 20 minutes to the crater from the visitor centre and do the 1 hour crater rim walk (approx. 4km altogether) if you’re feeling up to it (the views are amazing but it gets windy up there)! 💨

Keep your eye out for sheep grazing in the crater and hawks and eagles overhead 🐑

👉🏼 Keep in mind - Mt Elephant & Visitor Centre are open 1pm - 4pm on Sundays or by appointment but the site can be accessed on foot from the front gate at other times.

Would you hike up this dormant volcano? 🤔

Whale season out here has just begun! 🙌🏻🐳 Whale season out here has just begun! 🙌🏻🐳

This has been on my Victoria bucket list for sooo long and I’m so glad I finally jumped on the boat because woow it was an incredible day and those whales … and dolphins put on a performance 🐬

This 6 hour whale watching tour takes off from Port Welshpool, 3 hours drive from Melbourne with a 90% chance of seeing migrating humpback whales as they head back to Antarctica! 🐋

The first whale we spotted kept swimming around and under the boat, we had a pod of dolphins following us for hours and I even saw a few fur seals jumping out of the water! 🦭

👉🏼Whale tours with @wildlifecoastcruises run until the end of October and you can currently get a midweek discount with “MIDWHALES25” when booking!

Have you been whale watching in Victoria yet? 🤔

Thousands of daffodils only 1 hour from Melbourne Thousands of daffodils only 1 hour from Melbourne 🌼✨

Kyneton is currently bursting with yellow right now with the most stunning displays of daffodils in the state as part of their annual @kynetondaffodilandartsfestival ! 🙌🏻

While you’re in town you can:

- Wander through open gardens - The Pines, Willowbrook and Kyneton Botanical Gardens were my favourites 🏡

- Follow the Scarecrow Trail and find over 30 locally made scarecrows hidden across the town (this was actually so cute) 👀

- Check out the Art Exhibition, community events, bake sales, go on guided walks & don’t miss the Grand Parade on the last day. Lots of activities for the whole family!🎨

- Get breakfast from @grist_artisan_bakers, a delicious dinner from @donkeykyneton and spend the night at @kynetonbushresort 🛌 🍔

Best places to spot Daffodils in Kyneton:
1️⃣The Gold Mile (Burton Ave)
2️⃣Campaspe River Walk
3️⃣Kyneton Botanical Gardens
4️⃣Quarry Reserve

🗓️Kyneton Daffodil & Arts Festival runs until September 14th

It all started with a rustle in the tree beside us It all started with a rustle in the tree beside us 🤫

Seeing a baby koala in the wild was a tick off my bucket list and in a hoop pine too of all places ?! Guess we found out not every koala prefers the iconic eucalyptus tree after all … this is why we weren’t even looking! 🤭🤷🏼‍♀️

Arthur Bay Lookout is one of my favourite vantage points on Magnetic Island and this time it was just that little bit more special with some added company we didn’t expect to find 🥹🐨

Moral of the story - don’t just look for koalas in Eucalyptus trees when on Magnetic Island .. they like the shade of hoop pines on hot days too🌲

Have you seen a baby koala in the wild before? 🤔
